The Parent & Teen Toolbox

Jul 20, 2021

For many of us - we have spent so much time sitting in our “zoom uniform” or lounging about in our sweats that we have forgotten how we should dress for real life. For others, we want to make some changes to how we used to look - as this no longer represents how we want to look and feel today.

In this episode, Tessa and I discuss the importance of feeling good and being in the zone and how our appearance can help us find that inner confidence - be it having a great haircut, or (for me) freshly manicured nails - or indeed putting on an England Jersey or even The Queen’s Colours!

Tessa’s Mum ( who herself was an Olympic Skier ) said :

“If you don’t have a dream - then you can’t have a dream come true.”

So we talk about how we can encourage ourselves and our children to allow our dreams to come alive - and to dream BIG, and a lot of that stems from our own perception of ourselves and being true to who lies within.

More about Tessa :
Tessa Gray is a Paris trained couturiere, former amateur jump jockey with over 40 years of dressing women for special occasions, performances, and business.

Tessa uses colour, style, and design to guide her clients to look and feel younger and Amazing on and off line, because when she was a jockey, she realised the power clothes have to put any athlete in the zone.

Tessa’s clients are mostly Mums who would love to feel and look the way they used to, who are juggling work and family life are realising that virtual meetings are not quite the same as in-person meet-ups!

Most people, whatever age, find it hard to buy clothes that flatter, fit and give us the confidence that we are looking for; so Tessa takes the stress out of wondering what to buy, what to wear and how to create different looks without breaking the bank.

Well, I have a resource for you.

If you are looking for support at a deeper level for your child, then please book a call with me. Invariably they might only need a couple of sessions. But if we can give our kids the tools to improve their emotional wellbeing NOW - then you’re more likely to alleviate the longer term damage to their mental health.
