The Parent & Teen Toolbox

Sep 7, 2021

Following the upheaval from the past academic year, there are many young people who are trying to come to terms with changed plans.

Some changes have been thrust upon them, but also following a year of ‘isolation’ many have had the time to readjust, so their changes are self-imposed.

Perhaps they are not going to their university of choice - or maybe they wish to opt for a different career.

For the younger age group, many primary school kids are not able to attend the secondary school that they had expected to, or they need to reassess their subject choices.

Whatever the situation, when our children’s lives take a deviation from that which was expected, we often take it personally as parents and try and fix stuff.

Whilst it’s good to guide our kids - perhaps the better course of action is to support them with their own decisions.
In this episode - Stephanie explains how best to do just that.
